Men’s Runway:
Dolce & Gabbana centered their show around elegant comfort, offering looks that could go from the office to a night out after a change of shoes.
European style looks to be far ahead of American in terms of identity and sense of self. While the Europeans have a defined look that they adjust each season to set new trends and refine their image, the Americans appear to be reaching for an image to provide a foundation upon which to build. Moreover, American runway fashion doesn’t bring the everyday appeal that Europe has brought to the runway this season. For example, the morbid “scrubs” look from Obedient Sons just won’t resonate with many shoppers.
