Fashion Show: Male Models
While female fashion models generally get all the attention in the media, men battle it out on the runways as well. Let’s meet some of fashion’s leading models:
Mathias Lauridsen: Hailing from Denmark, Mathias is currently the top ranked model according to Models.com
Interviews with Matt Gordon, Stan Jouk, Tom W, Philip Huang, Blaine Cook, Sam Saffman, Chad White, Joshua Walter
While the men likely work as many shows and do as many shoots as the women, it seems that they take themselves much less seriously and enjoy their time as models more. Most of the guys were extremely laid back in their interview and talked about how they stumbled into modeling as a career. On the other hand, women generally strive to become models and take many steps just to get noticed.

Fashion Expanding Its Reach
As globalization takes over the world and begins to pick up the slowest of learners, mens fashion has finally made its way to India.
“The big mustache, silk shirt and gold accessories-look that survived for decades is now being replaced by a haute couture hero: India’s men are taking their fashion cues from the global scene. And this fashion fever is not just for the rich — India‘s growing ranks of wealthy, well-heeled and Western educated professionals with careers in multinational companies and a chunk of disposable income are leading the change.”– Reuters
Men’s Runway:

Dolce & Gabbana centered their show around elegant comfort, offering looks that could go from the office to a night out after a change of shoes.
D&G brings drawstrings and elastic waistbands out of the pool.

Obedient Sons falls flat with the scrubs look, in line with the show's theme of ill-fitting feminine gear.

Marc Jacobs goes with a grunge, worn-in theme for his show.
European style looks to be far ahead of American in terms of identity and sense of self. While the Europeans have a defined look that they adjust each season to set new trends and refine their image, the Americans appear to be reaching for an image to provide a foundation upon which to build. Moreover, American runway fashion doesn’t bring the everyday appeal that Europe has brought to the runway this season. For example, the morbid “scrubs” look from Obedient Sons just won’t resonate with many shoppers.
